COE Questions, Answered
When are COE bidding results released?
COE open bidding runs twice a month and usually closes on the first and third Wednesday at 4:00pm Singapore time. LTA publishes results shortly after the close — this page updates within minutes.
What do the COE categories mean?
Cat A: cars up to 1,600cc and 130bhp (incl. mass-market EVs). Cat B: larger or more powerful cars. Cat C: goods vehicles and buses. Cat D: motorcycles. Cat E: Open category — usable for any vehicle except motorcycles, in practice mostly big cars.
What is PQP and who needs it?
The Prevailing Quota Premium is the 3-month moving average of COE prices for a category. If your car or bike is nearing the end of its 10-year COE, PQP is the price to renew for another 5 or 10 years without bidding.
Why do COE prices swing so much?
Supply is capped by the Vehicle Quota System, so premiums react to quota changes, deregistration numbers, dealer demand and the economy. A small quota cut can move prices sharply in a single exercise.
Is COETODAY.SG official?
No — we're an independent tracker. All figures come from LTA's official COE bidding results published on data.gov.sg. We're not affiliated with LTA or any dealer.
